Questions, answered.
A few of the things people ask most often. If your question isn't here, just reach out — we're happy to talk it through.
What areas do you serve?
Hibiscus House provides care within Santa Fe and local surrounding areas in New Mexico. Specific travel routes and timing are confirmed during intake.
Do we meet before the first booking?
Yes. Every care relationship begins with a Meet & Greet so we can meet your pet, learn their routine, test home access, and ensure everyone is comfortable before care begins.
Do you care for cats and other pets?
Absolutely. Cats and small household pets are welcome for drop-in visits and in-home care, including feeding, fresh water, litter care, companionship, and play.
Can you administer routine medication?
Routine oral, topical, or transdermal medications can be administered per your written Medication Authorization Form when agreed upon in advance.
What is the status of residential boarding?
Residential boarding is a planned service. To ensure full compliance with Santa Fe zoning and animal care regulations, boarding remains subject to final local permit verification and approval.
How does invoicing and tax work?
Services are invoiced electronically. Applicable New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) is reflected according to current New Mexico tax regulations.
What happens in a pet medical emergency?
An Emergency Veterinary Authorization form is completed before service. In an emergency, we make immediate attempts to contact you and your designated emergency contact while securing prompt veterinary care.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are governed by our client booking policy. Standard service cancellations provided with sufficient notice receive a full refund or credit.
Do you offer holiday care?
Holiday care can be arranged in advance subject to calendar availability. Reach out early to lock in your preferred dates.
